Frequently Asked Questions
What is FESS?
Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure to open the sinuses and remove blockages (polyps, inflamed tissue) using a nasal endoscope.
When does a child need a tonsillectomy?
Tonsillectomy is recommended when a child has recurrent tonsillitis (7+ episodes/year), very large tonsils causing breathing problems, or obstructive sleep apnoea.
Can hearing loss be treated?
It depends on the type. Conductive hearing loss (due to infection, fluid, or wax) is often treatable. Sensorineural hearing loss may be managed with hearing aids or cochlear implants.
