Frequently Asked Questions
What is haemodialysis?
Haemodialysis is a procedure that filters waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys can no longer do this adequately. Sessions typically last 3–4 hours, 3 times per week.
Can CKD be reversed?
While CKD cannot be fully reversed, its progression can be significantly slowed with blood pressure control, blood sugar management, appropriate diet, and medications.
What diet should a kidney patient follow?
Kidney patients often need to limit sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and protein intake. Our dietitian will create a personalised kidney diet plan for you.
